ACID STAINING
Acid staining concrete surfaces has been around for almost three decades. Using special acid formulas with reactive color agents to etch and penetrate a concrete surface allows incredible color patterns and hues as the stain reacts to the concrete it is applied to.
Reactive Acid Stains are used on mostly hard troweled finished concrete. The smooth surface allows for slow penetration of the stain, and the variances in moisture, and chemical compounds found in concrete react slowly with the applied stains to give you the desired effect. Often the condition of the concrete, moisture content, and the quality of the mix will affect the outcome, sometimes with undesirable results. Our Substrate Stabilization Program™ can assist you to obtain greater consistency and minimize reactive blemishes. CRN takes Acid Staining to yet another level. Using our exclusive Spray-Top® formulation allows us the ability to apply a paint thin coating to any concrete surface. Starting from a clean (white cement) base, or integrally tinted base, we apply our specially formulated acid stains (less aggressive then standard stains with special formulation for polymer modified cement) to our Spray-Top® finished surface.
The results are incredible: we get excellent crisp & bright color rendition, controlled color distribution, and with the use of Modellos & Stencils, we achieve results that once were reserved for the accomplished artist, and ONLY affordable to the Rich & Famous. |
