THE BROOM FINISH TEXTURE COAT
The broom finish texture overlay is the most common resurfacing texture used today. It finishes to a clean, slip resistant finish and mimics brand new concrete. It is applied directly over a thin polymer modified primer coat as soon as it is dry enough to walk on. This overlay application is the oldest of all resurfacing applications, and has been practiced with success since the early 1980's. The secret for a "NEW" concrete finish is in the ability of the contractor/applicator to hide crack and surface repairs with skill. At CRN we promote training, products, and tools to ensure a successful and aesthetically successful application.
A Broom texture overlay can be applied in a variety of colors or in a natural concrete finish. To minimize stains and maximize waterproofing, CRN recommends adding a clear top coat sealer for added resistance to oils, tire markings, vegetation discoloration, and other natural or man-made contaminants. |
