The Concrete Resurfacing Network, Dedicated to the Business of Concrete Resurfacing and Concrete Decorative Resurfacing

The Clock Tower Project

After reviewing several options for restoring the limestone facade of Kankakee ’s Arcade Building, Heritage Development & Construction, Inc selected a solution proposed by the Concrete Resurfacing Network.

A specialty exterior wall cement product called VERTACRETE® which is made with a proprietary blend of acrylic polymers, cement, and various aggregates, was chosen as the product to be used on the resurfacing part of a $4 million dollar restoration project called: “The Clock Tower Centre”

This One Hundred Twenty Three year old architectural gem was resurfaced with a smooth hard trowel finish to repair two sides and create one entirely new exterior wall matching the original adjacent limestone.

Pied Piper Construction, LLC a CRN certified installer was selected as the contractor for the project in which 12,000 square feet of Limestone was resurfaced and sealed with a specialty subsurface sealer called STUCCOSHIELD™.

This resurfacing project provides a beautiful addition to the overall restoration of downtown Kankakee , IL .
