AVOID CUSTOMER COMPLAINTS: COMMUNICATE!
"A problem is a solution waiting to be found."
Performing as a contractor for the past
15 years, I reluctantly admit to my fair share of unsavory comments from consumers. There are times when one may blame the irrational consumer, but most of the time the customers expectations are just not realistic. Why? Because we, as professional applicators and business owners, fail to properly communicate the implications and limitations of the work we perform. Following, are three simple stress reducing rules:
Rule No 1
Prior to starting a resurfacing or decorative concrete contract, you need to ensure the client's complete understanding of the systems you are about to install. Most of the complaints can be pre-empted by simple, yet detailed, explanations.
Rule No. 2
Do it in writing! Attach your disclaimers to your proposals and/or contract. Items such as integral color variations, slip resistant factors, the likelihood of cracks re-appearing, (with the reassurance of an easy fix), and a consumer awareness maintenance program, must be delineated and agreed upon PRIOR to starting any work.

Rule No. 3
Ensure that you are using the best and latest materials on the market with a proven history, and that your crew is well trained in the usage of your chosen system(s).
*There are many companies to choose from. The truth of the matter is that resurfacing has been around for the last 20 years, and only a handful of companies have been around since the onset of the industry. The Concrete Resurfacing industry has really catapulted in the past few years, and is recognized by industry leaders as the fastest growing trade in the concrete industry. This spurt in growth and demand resulted in the proliferation of dozens of companies who are for the most part resellers and/or private labelers. At www.in2crete.com the products represented have documented longevity and well defined application standards. In2crete also features cutting-edge proprietary products, which defy the norm, and dramatically reduce the chance of failure.
Why does CRN feature In2crete as a supplier?
Well for one, we share the same parent company. But most importantly, after 15 years of hands on experience, and consulting with some of the most prominent industry veterans (
applicators that is, not vendors), we have come to recognize the industry leaders, and the products which facilitate our trade, and increase the contractor's ratio of success.
As an applicator, success is based on three distinct platforms:
Application

You need to have the ability to use easily replicable systems
Aesthetics

The final results must meet the aesthetic criteria of the customer
Durability

The finish product must LAST and endure the test of time.
The systems and products you find at
www.in2crete.com are based on these simple principles. As contractors, we successfully resurfaced millions of square feet, and we have 20 years of documented application history.
The featured products and systems found at
