Concrete is truly one of the staples of modern infrastructure. We depend on it! However, most of us have a love/ hate relationship with concrete. It's seemingly untamable nature, and variety of complications as it ages has most professionals and consumers reluctantly accepting a traditional truth: Concrete's greatest STRENGTH is also its greatest WEAKNESS.
For many years, it was impossible to renew or enhance the appearance of a concrete surface, as wear and weather took their toll. Standard surface repairs are rather obvious, and suffer a short life span. Most often the suggested cure is to demolish the existing concrete, remove it, and form and pour a brand new slab.
For the past 20 years, development in materials technology and refined application methods, allow us to simply "resurface" and cure most concrete surface damage. Such unsightly damage as open cracks, spalled surfaces (pitted), and just plain aged and ugly concrete were until recently virtually impossible to repair. Today, replacement is no longer the only option.
I'm here to tell you that not only is resurfacing a tangible option... It is less expensive than replacement and the resulting slab has more beauty and durability than ANY new concrete replacement!! More
